She loves her purse!

Isn't she lovely!

I took these pictures yesterday before Caleb's soccer game. Sarah loves to carry anything around that has a handle as a purse, whether it's a bag or lunch box. We do have to make sure that she doesn't have the remote controls to the tv in them.
Yesterday was such a beautiful day. It got up to at least 70 degrees. We didn't have to wear a coat or jacket to Caleb's game. It was so nice. For the first time in a week, we didn't have a fire in the fireplace. Today is just as beautiful. The sky is clear and it's not too cool out. I have some pictures to post of my favorite tree in the fall. The colors are just magnificant.
I wish you could see just how big the boys (and Sarah) are getting. Yes, Caleb does have to sit down when I correct him so that he still has to look up to me. Otherwise he's taller than I am.

My first ponies!

Sarah had her first set of ponytails today. She looked absolutely adoreable. I can't even tell you how much we love this little girl. I wish you all could see her walking around the house and hear her squeeky shoes. It doesn't seem possible that just last week she was just beginning this walking thing. Now she walks EVERYWHERE! It's amazing to me how much she has learned in just 5 months. I can't wait until we get back to the States and our family can enjoy her too!

Our new piece of furniture!

Our new kitchen hutch!

How many crackers do I have?

Smile!

Looks like Ms. Sarah was here!

This is me - WALKING!!

We got a new-to-us hutch the other day. I've been looking for one for quite a while. I definitely learned patience from the adoption because I was very patient waiting to find just the right one. I knew exactly what I was looking for. I'm very happy with it. It holds all my pottery with room for more. Allen did not see this as an opportunity to buy more pottery.

The other pictures are ones I took of Sarah today. She is walking more and more and boot-scooting less and less. You can normally tell where she has been, especially if she's been in the snack cabinet. I found her a walk behind toy today at a garage sale. I had gone to the commissary today and I passed a garage sale on the way home. I happened to see the walk behind toy. It was only $2. What a bargain.

Caleb had a soccer game yesterday. They won 2-1 and he scored one of the goals. So far they have won 2 games and tied 1 game.

I won't be working this week. We have Allen's retirement classes. I'm sure the next 14 months will fly by. We are trying to cram all the trips in that we haven't taken yet. I'm sure that will help the time go by.

I Love My Job!

Have I said recently that I love my job? Well I do. I have been working in PE yesterday and day. I will be there tomorrow as well. I get to wear workout clothes and play kickball or duck, duck, goose. Monday I had one class for 45 minutes and then got a lunch. Does work get much better than that? I didn't realize that I was so out of shape though. Yesterday I only had 3 classes and I was SORE today. Today I had 6 classes so we'll see what kind of shape I'm in tomorrow. I have 6 classes again tomorrow. I also get to work a half-day Thursday and Friday as well in Special Ed. I'm looking forward to that.

I've decided that I'm not completely sure I'm going back to school yet. I'm pretty sure I will one day, just maybe not yet. I truly love subbing. I love that I get to interact with lots of different kids from different classes and grade levels. I know that I can sub in Indiana with the degree that I have right now. I know I would be taking a paycut, but at least I could still sub. We'll just have to see.

Sarah has gone to daycare this week and three days last week. She's done so good. She didn't even cry yesterday or today. Her provider said she took the kids she had to the bank today and the ladies there asked her "Is that Sarah?". She said she's a superstar. How funny! I guess that's what happens when you're in the paper. Otherwise, she's doing really good and starting to walk more. One of these days she'll leave the bootscoot behind and never look back. Oh help me when that day comes!

Helping with laundry

Sarah was helping me with laundry the other day. She found a pair of Daniel undies and was trying to put them on her head or wherever she could. As you can see, she's also starting to stand by herself. She's also taken a few steps, but only when prompted to do so. She won't take them without being asked to do so. I'm sure it won't be long before she's off and running though!

Back to School!

The boys have been back in school for 2 weeks now. It doesn't seem possible that they are in 8th, 5th and 2nd grade. I had a harder time with Joshua going to middle school than Caleb. Maybe because now I know how fast they grow up once they are there.
Caleb is in his third year of playing the trumpet and Joshua will be in his first (trumpet also). They both have really great teachers and I think it's going to be a great year. Caleb also sprung the news on us that he is the president of National Junior Honor Society this year. That was quite a surprise. But again, I think it'll be a great year.
Daniel loves his teacher. I'll probably start volunteering next week in his class. If I'm only running copies, I'll probably take Sarah with me. Otherwise, I'll get a sitter. So far he's only had one yellow day for talking, which means he lost 5 minutes of recess. She did say he chats quite a bit and she's considering moving him closer to her desk.
Otherwise, so far so good. If this year goes by half as fast as last year, it will be over before we know it and we will be looking at retirement soon! I have more pictures to post and will try to get that done yet today. For now, I need another cup of tea!

Blocking blog

I'm going to be making this blog private again very soon. If you'd like to continue reading, please let me know via e-mail. I just feel this would be better. Sorry to anyone who may have had trouble with it last time (Mom and Dad, we'll get it sorted out for you). I will also try and do better at keeping it updated. Don't hold your breath though since I'm going back to school next month. I think I went temporarily insane and that must have been the day I signed up to go back to school.

I'll try to get new pictures on today. I know most of you check to see pictures of the little princess. Hopefully they will be available soon!
