7 months ago today

Can you believe that 7 months ago today we left China headed for Hawaii? The time has gone by so fast. Sarah has changed so much. I can't imagine the past 7 months without her.

It seems strange to be able to say "This time next year, we will be back in States." I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will miss Germany when we are gone. But let me share with you a few of the things that I know I will NOT miss:

1. The gas station! I can't wait to be able to get gas and not have to show paperwork to do it. I'm really looking forward to pay-at-the-pump gas stations. And also Pepsi slushies at Whimpy's.

2. Laundry taking ALL day long to get done because the washers are so small and take so long to wash.

3. My extra small oven and kitchen. I can't wait to have counter space and be able to cook more than one pizza at a time. I think the first dish I'm going to cook with is my 10x15 bar pan because it won't fit in my oven and I haven't been able to use it for 3 1/2 years.

4. Extra slow internet. I've told Allen that I want the fastest internet that we can get and I don't care how much it costs to get it.

Other than that, I know I'll miss Germany. There are so many things I love about being over here, except of course that our family is so far away.

You are right. It seems like Sarah has always been with us. Crazy how that works.

Derek laughed when he heard you would not be missing the gas station. That was one thing he was excited about too when he moved back to the states from there.

I can't wait to see you once you come back, although I don't when it actually will occur. Love you and miss you guys! *hug*

Tell the boys and Allen hello, and give Sarah a BIG hug!
